Nepalese Lokta Handmade Paper Envelopes

 

Lokta handmade paper is handmade in Nepal and is made from the inner bark of a Daphe bush that grows in high altitudes in the Himalayas. The fibers come from renewable plants that are harvested every 3-4 years. Although lightweight, these sheets are very strong and durable. They are great for drawing, calligraphy, and printmaking.
